Our story begins with two Kentuckians, united by a shared vision and a love for authentic, small-batch bourbon. Brent Goodin, a Master Distiller at Boundary Oak Distillery, and his longtime friend from high school, L. Eddie Smith, had each built their own paths in the spirits industry. When Brent’s friend relocated to Lithuania—a country positioned perfectly to reach all corners of Europe—they saw a unique opportunity to make an impact.
As they reconnected, the duo quickly identified a major gap in the market: Europe was dominated by big-brand bourbons and craft spirits from major producers, leaving small-batch and independent American distillers struggling to compete overseas. They realized that the journey from Kentucky to the European market was daunting for smaller producers, weighed down by the challenges of distribution, customs, and logistics.

Determined to level the playing field, they embarked on a years-long quest to develop a solution that would make exporting small-batch spirits more accessible. This vision eventually led to the creation of EU Bottling—a world-class bottling facility centrally located in Lithuania, designed to help American craft spirits reach European shelves efficiently and affordably.
With EU Bottling, they now offer flexible, custom bottling solutions that bring small producers closer to European distributors and consumers, providing a streamlined path to market.
